Thanks for stopping by! My name is Marissa, although Riss is almost always preferred. I’m an illustrator, designer, and maker residing in a rather lovely part of Michigan.

 

I’ve been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil and I started doing design work about three years ago. I’ve done work for Gemini Handmade, Harbinger Leather Designs, Second String Leather Co, and Rhythm Rascals Coffee, to name a few. I started my own brand a short time after discovering my love for design. Although it was once known as Fire & Fennel Mercantile, it’s now coined as Wheat Penny Provisions - all part of a very massive and very enjoyable rebrand. I hand craft incense, candles, cologne, and leather balm. I also quite enjoy styling project shoots.

I draw inspiration from many places: natural history books and field guides, Western films, antiques, distilleries, and tattoo shops. I’d love to hear from you with any design inquiries!
